Sometimes I wonder where I even was during the 90s… I’ve heard about Netlink since, but I don’t remember it at all from the time. Did it come out in the UK?

I do remember this, although it didnt ever come out over here typically. I believe there’s a good chance that the games in that ad were the only ones that included the option to utilise this. Still, a good warm up for Dreamcast Dream Arena I guess. Although saying that, even the Megadrive had a modem. Dunno if if had any games that worked for it but I remember being hyped about the prospect of downloading demos, not that I really understood what the Internet was exactly at the time! Again, the grigging thing never came out over here either anyway. Groonicycle!
That’s a new one on me, I knew of the cable to link saturns, did you and Chris link up for command and conquer once?
I was gonna say we probably did that on PC – I got quite into command and conquer when the Internet was young… But actually I think it was on playstation – I remember having the tv’s set up opposite each other in my attic room. Pretty much always got whupped as I remember – just couldn’t build quick enough…
Netlink was probably a carrier thing – USA has always been a step ahead with Internet and it was still really uncommon to have it here until the very late nineties.
yeah I remember the back to back tv’s.
I did wonder playstation. But then, did you have one? and how would that have been linked even?
I think Scrooge had the link cable. In fact , I think only he had the game – cos it was 2 discs you could take one each.
